In addition to using renewable raw materials to make PLA, the net greenhouse gas emission of the overall production process can even be considered zero- which is what we’re after! This is because PLA production depends on crops like corn that can be grown year after year. What's more, these crops draw carbon dioxide from the air when they’re grown, thereby pulling greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere to make PLA.
